Transforming Lives in Rural Uganda

The Butiiti Adopt a Community Project (Global Grant GG2344843) is a transformative project spearheaded by the Rotary E-Club of Uganda Global, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar as the lead international partner. The project brings together 48 international Rotary Clubs, 7 local Rotary Clubs, 3 local Rotaract Clubs, the Ministry of Water and Environment (Uganda), and the Canadian Rotarian Water Foundation. Rooted in Butiiti Town Council, Kyenjojo District, Uganda, the project reflects Rotary International’s commitment to lasting change by addressing all of its Seven Areas of Focus.

A Holistic Approach

The Butiiti Adopt a Community Project activities are designed to align with Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus, ensuring broad impact and sustainability:

For ownership and sustainability, the Rotary E-Club of Uganda Global has established a Butiiti Rotary Community Corps (RCC). The RCC has been equipped with training to ensure proper management, maintenance, and transition of the project after completion, fostering long-term community-led development.

Through this integrated model, the Butiiti Adopt a Community Project is creating a blueprint for sustainable rural transformation—one that unites global partnerships with local action for lasting community impact.
