Caravan of Love 2021 – Spreading Joy at Maana Rescue Home
The Caravan of Love Project is a flagship initiative of the Rotary E-Club of Uganda Global focused on bringing joy and support to vulnerable communities during the festive season. Each year, the project distributes essential items, gifts, and services to underprivileged children, families, and institutions, ensuring they feel cared for and included.

Bringing Hope and Smiles to Fort Portal
In December 2021, the Rotary E-Club of Uganda Global carried its spirit of compassion to Maana Rescue Home in Fort Portal City through the Caravan of Love Project — our club’s signature Christmas outreach.
The initiative aimed to share love, kindness, and joy with children in need while providing essential supplies to improve their well-being. It was a moment when Rotarians truly lived the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.
A Home Filled with New Possibilities
Maana Rescue Home provides shelter, education, and care for born or infected with HIV/AIDS from the villages around the city, offering them a second chance at life. When our team arrived, the children welcomed us with songs and wide smiles — a true reflection of the happiness that comes from being seen, heard, and loved.

What We Did
The 2021 Caravan of Love was filled with heartfelt action and joy:
✅ Donated foodstuffs, clothing, bedding, hygiene items, and scholastic materials
✅ Spent quality time playing, mentoring, and sharing stories with the children
✅ Shared a Christmas meal and celebrated the spirit of togetherness
The day ended with laughter, music, and renewed hope — proof that small acts of kindness can make a world of difference.
Rotary in Action
As an E-Club, our members are spread across various countries and time zones — yet through technology and teamwork, we united for a single purpose: to spread love where it’s needed most.
The project also strengthened our partnership with local community and their leaders, ensuring that Maana Rescue Home continues to receive ongoing support even after our visit.
The Spirit Continues
The success of the 2021 Caravan of Love inspired our club to extend this initiative to other communities in subsequent years. Each caravan is a reminder that when we give with love, we build a better world — one heart at a time.
